Reclaiming our right to food self-determination in Nishnawbe Aski Nation can be supported through planning, policy, and advocacy at the community, First Nation Council, territorial, provincial, national, and international levels. Through the establishment of food policies, food standards and dialogue with other Indigenous peoples we can articulate our food values and assert our food self-determination. Advocacy with other levels of government can be focused to further support systemic changes.
Develop our own First Nation policies and standards that support food self-determination at the grass roots level.
